Sharon Stone fights for sex scenes
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2006-03/18/content_4312958.htm

BEIJING, March 18 -- Sharon Stone has fought with "Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction" director after she discovered her raunchiest sex scenes had been edited out.

Stone is back playing scheming killer Catherine Tramell in the long-awaited sequel to the 1992 original crime thriller, and she has promised even more nudity and "kinky stuff" in the movie.

The 48-year-old actress was horrified when she found sexy sequences were cut to ensure the film received an NC-17 rating in America, meaning only 17s and over can see it, it is reported. Stone says: "I wanted a lot of sex in the sequel.

"When I saw the rough cut of the film they had taken a lot of stuff out and I asked, 'Where's all the crazy stuff I did? What are we toning it down for?'"

What do you think happens to women over 40? They stop?

Plenty of beautiful women over 40. I'm sorry, but maybe we should see more people of a certain age (besides just men) shown as sexual beings.

3. More sex=more money. But then, if I want to see porn, I'll get the real
thing, na?

I know exactly what her problem is, and it's that she thinks her simulated sex scenes are "crazy" and "raunchy", which equates to mo' money, mo' money, mo' money...

But I don't get this tendency to reward people for being too cowardly to watch a real skin flick. Sharon's adamance about this smacks of desperation in a huge way. Shouldn't she be more concerned about the writing, plot, etc.? Hasn't she ever heard of Showgirls?

And is this what she wants to be known for in her work? Her championing of fake raunchy sex? If she wants to do a porno, why doesn't she just do one?

8. Yeah, BUT...
...NO ONE will say ANYTHING about an "extended edition" when the DVD is released. They'll put it on sale, watch it peak, and a month or two after sales have fallen off the downward slope, it will miraculously appear.

There'll be extended NC-17 scenes and a special audio commentary track featuring Sharon discussing her vagina or some other "essential" perk.

This is the EXACT kind of crap that the people behind "Saw" are pulling. They are very coy about a "Saw II: Directors Cut" DVD because the "regular edition" hasn't had enough time on the market.

And people wonder why music and video gets pirated on the web.

:grr:

7. you know she had a brain injury
some years ago she had a cerebral hemmorhage of some type and she has never sounded quite sane since

i mean really whacky stuff, like god picked her to be a "star" and like that, i think she has lost some of her intelligence and her sparkle that she used to have

still great-looking for her age but i just don't expect her to make much sense any more

it's sad because really it happened too young and she has certainly done great things to remind us that "mature" women can be sexual too, tho it's funny to think that she was almost considered too old to be a star when the original basic instinct was filmed
