34. Hey rkm: I had a good friend who lived in West Hollywood back in the 90s.

I visited her there several times and we had a blast! You might be familiar with the place where she lived. She rented an upstairs apartment in a sort of crumbling, grey stucco, 2 story apartment building on San Vicente which was just down the street from a wine shop on the corner of Melrose (I think that's right) and San Vicente. The building was U-shaped around a court yard with a defunct fountain in the center. It was sort of like Melrose Place without the pool and heterosexual guys! ;) Downstairs were little lawns with little fences around them. The Beverly Center and that triangular-shaped community garden were within easy walking distance if I remember correctly.

Anywhoo, West Hollywood is cool!
