Disarming little British sitcom featuring Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth Bucket (which she insists on pronouncing "bouquet"), a middle-class social climber wannabe who refuses to recognize her "place" in British society. Just give it a shot - you'll be hooked in no time.

3. Oh, that Hyacinth - can't help but love her |
|
Part Martha Stewart, part Barbara Bush, and just a touch of Draco Malfoy for good measure. Her sisters are a riot, too.

I love Violet's weird husband (usually he's up a tree!) :)

7. "The Bou-QUET residence, the lady of the HOUSE speaking!" |
|
I love the way Hyacinth's eyes acted as though they were trying to bore through your skull if you ever made the mistake of calling her "Mrs. Bucket" instead of "Mrs. Bou-QUET."

10. "It's my sister Violet! You know, the one with a Mercedes, pool and room |
|
for a pony."
I LOVE that show! I especially love Elizabeth and the Royal Doulton china teacups! Mr. CB likes Onslow the best!

He always seems to come with some gems of philosophical thought, even while watching the telly.

I love the show. Hyacinth is my comfort food. No matter how often I see the show, it makes me laugh. The Rose character is a hoot.
