Will winter ever be OVER? :'(
Winter weather anyways....

I just read on http://www.wunderground.com that there is supposed to be a winter storm here- snow and sleet in the evening, more snow in the middle of the night, (apparently we are expecting 4 inches)- then more snow in the morning and tomorrow afternoon.

Just recently we had one of the nicest days out here- it was warm, sunny, t-shirt weather. For the first time in months I was able to hang out on my porch, watch the animals, and just chill outside comfortably. It finally looked like spring!

And then the cold came back :(.

And now this!

It's days like today (weather-wise) that make me really really miss Western Washington. May not be much as far as seasons go but at least the weather is reliable!! You know what to expect, everyday. (Partly cloudy with a chance of showers, possibly sunny with a chance of showers, a little windy with a chance of showers)

{sigh}

2. Yeah, we've having a wet, cold and rainy first day of Spring here, too.
and we're in California!

Oh well, what better time to remember the Light of the SUN and the promise of new and positive changes?

Keep the faith, Spring is here!

4. You're right
And I have some new energy regardless of this crap weather, simply from that little bit of nice weather- and knowing more will come soon! It just sucks lol. Oh well, I like snow too and I'll still be awake to watch it later tonight. :)

 Hope your weather gets better fast too!

9. I am hoping that the worst blows in before rush hour
so most folks realize it is a good day to either go in late to work, or to stay home. If it gets bad, but doesn't seem so bad in the morning commute - than it is likely to be an ugly, ugly morning drive. I have heard a range of predictions for the Indy area from five inches to eight or more - all after following a period of ice. Ugh!

13. That's where I'm fortunate
I don't have to be on the roads. My hubby will be walking to work in it, and I worry about him whenever he walks in this weather, but what can ya do? He's probably safer walking to be honest.

I've seen bad enough driving just here in Plainfield... I can only imagine how bad it gets in Indy. :(. Good luck tomorrow, I hope the roads aren't too bad.

What wunderground.com says is an accumulation of 4 inches tonight, and a total accumulation of 6-8 by tomorrow. Usually they are right, or at least really close.

10. I'm sick of it too.
Late freezes stifled the Roses and burned off the emerging Fuschia greens.

Even the weather acts like the frickin' Bush administration.

It reminds me of Emile Nolde's dark paintings of sunflowers, done in Germany in the 30's. Even nature is oppressed and despondent.

But on a lighter note: we're still alive! :bounce:

16. However...
it's gonna kill off a decent number of nasty insects, too.

14. LOL! No, not at all.
I meant weather-wise. Ignoring the weather, there are tons of things about W WA I miss. Nothing compares to W WA in beauty as far as I'm concerned. And I *really* miss mass transit. Among other things. :hi:

12. It certainly seems like it won't.
Two Saturdays ago, I went to a St. Patrick's Day parade and got sunburned. Today, it's raining and we're preparing for 6-8 inches of snow.

Ah, the joys of living in the Midwest.

15. It certainly gets interesting come spring time,
though. I love the storms out here. The only storms I've seen that can even compare are some of the ones I got to experience in Texas as a little girl.
