Mother of the Groom
My son is getting married in June, and I'm shopping for a dress to wear. Why is it that all the shops have "Mother of the Bride" dresses, but nobody has "Mother of the Groom" dresses. If I wear a "Mother of the Bride" dress, do you think anyone will mind?

6. My mom rocks
she saved my life, a couple of times. In fact, she helped me escape my evil ex-wife!

5. I say find something you want, and get it.
I never really thought about how weird that is -- like mothers of grooms DON'T want to look nice?

Congratulations to your son and his bride to be, by the way.

7. Thanks, everyone!
I got a dress yesterday - pale blue and simply "a dress" with no designation. I just wanted to look nice enough not to embarass my son! Thanks for all your good wishes.

8. My sister got herself a pale yellow dress.
She bought the pale yellow dress for my nephew's wedding last summer. She looked very nice. She is planning on wearing it on a cruise.
