First Baby Born Sunday
baby_girl_mystery was born Sunday afternoon.

We just brought her home from the hospital. ms._mystery and baby_girl are all OK (ms. did 13 hours labor and standard delivery without meds).

Just as an absolute objective fact, I'd like to note that baby_girl is the most beautiful baby ever in the whole history of the world (yours excepted, of course ;-)). Must go now. This seems to involve a lot of screaming, apparently. :-)

cheers all,
a_m

Holy crap! I'm nominating ms._mystery for Woman of the Year.
I'm 7 months pregnant now and I've already told my doctor that they're meeting me in the parking lot with the drugs!

We demand pictures soon!

Congratulations again! :bounce:

14. ms._mystery is convinced
that the drugs slow down stage 2, and lead to too many caesareans (bradley method stuff). gotta give it to her for practicing what she preaches though. i was ready to ask for the drugs during some of it, and she didn't mention it even once. btw, 13 hours labor, and 12 minutes from transition to birth.

9. CONGRATS!
Birth is an amazing experience, now enjoy your two-three weeks of relative peace before the real crying begins! (don't be fooled if she's sleeping long hours at night right now, that will change! get your rest when she does!!!)

11. Congratulations! Buckle your seat belt -
you're in for a bumpy ride!

Sleep when the baby sleeps. Sleep when the baby sleeps. Sleep when the baby sleeps. Sleep when the baby sleeps. Sleep when the baby sleeps. Sleep when the baby sleeps.

Don't forget to eat.

Forget the laundry. Forget the dirty dishes. Don't even think about scrubbing the tub.

Sleep when the baby sleeps, don't forget to eat, and sleep when the baby sleeps.

Congratulations! I'm sure your daughter is the prettiest baby in the world.

21. She's sleeping right now
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 08:37 PM by alcibiades_mystery
I'm not sleeping. Is that bad?;-)

I've been so jacked up I can't get a nod in. Luckily, ms._mystery has no such quibbles. She breastfeeds, then sleeps while the baby sleeps. Then the baby wakes up, then she wakes up, breastfeeds, etc. I've done almost all the changing. It's not that bad, but I hear it gets smellier.

24. Oh she's beautiful!
Sometimes babies that are just born are not so cute yet, but my goodness she's simply beautiful. Such a pretty face - perfect mouth, gorgeous cheeks. You done good!
