My latest foster cat gave birth this afternoon. Lindsay is the proud Mom to five babies, 3 orange tabbies, 1 black tiger striped and one black with cool orange markings. Welcome to the world little ones.

When I see newborn kittens I always remember a funny story from about 45 years ago when my friend's younger brother was showing his older lady babysitter their cat's new kittens. "Oh, God gave Walter* these lovely little babies!" the babysitter exclaimed. "God didn't give them to her, they came out of her butt", was the little boy's frank reply.

As a foster mom, what happens next? Do they all get spayed/neutered when the time is right and placed?

Our MommaKitty brought us her three babes almost this time last year - MK decided the feral lifestyle wasn't for her and trusted us enough to bring us her girls (we've kept all of them, I couldn't stand to give any of them away).
