2 cups water, 2 cups milk(I would use whole but we usually only have lactose free skim in the house) 2 heaping tablespoons of turbinado sugar, 3 teabags of Chai. I vary on which type I use. Twingings just came out with some that is nice but doesn't have as much spice. The Yogi brand has a lot of spice and I use that a lot. The best stuff I have had is the loose tea from Harney and sons http://www.harney.com/chai.html

5. I'm a connoisseur of chai. I've tried all the brands, and trust me....

... Big Train brand of spiced chai is the best brand, by far. No other brand even comes close to the flavor of it. Most brands use way too much cardamom in the blend of spices, overwhelming all the other flavors. The "chai" that Starbucks serves is so bad, it doesn't even deserve to be called chai. I don't work for Big Train at all, I can just verify that they it is the BEST.

Looks like something that would be at the local gourmet supermarket. I didn't see this brand at the organic store this evening.

8. For the most part, only Mom-n-Pop coffee houses carry it, but you can

order it online from any number of dealers. I would send you a packet of it but I'm all out at this time. If you like the chai you have had so far, I really hope you get to try Big Train.

9. Almond or soy milk

I cut mine with almond or soy milk and throw a few black pepper corns while it is heating. It's especially good that way on a miserably cold stormy day.

16. Well, to me Oregon Chai was OK, but I wouldn't buy it again. The price is

basically the same for Big Train. I hope I'm not building up people's expectations too much. The distinction from one brand to another is the flavor, meaning the smell, and I'm just completely sold on the flavor of Big Train spiced. They also make a decaf spiced but for some reason they don't make it with the same flavor.

A really strong ginger tea with a bit of honey is great, and happens to be a great temporary cure for a stuffed up nose.

Oregon brand chai, room temp, pour in cold soy milk. (it's a 50/50 mixture, btw)

sometimes I add chai, either the leaves, or soak any liquid I'm adding in chai. SO GOOD.

28. Chai Tea is so good because it has a dash of

pepper in it. :kick: You can make Indian ice cream by brewing 1 chai tea bag with half as much water as called for, then chill the tea. After the strong tea is cold mix it with 1 cup of vanilla ice cream. Refreeze the ice cream.

but i use skim lactose milk (1 cup)..2 teaspoons sugar..a few strands of saffron..small stick of cinnamon..one clove...one split cardamom...1 tablespoon assam tea

I sometimes go out of my way to get a D&D chai, though all kinds are yummy. It tastes like a spicy cloud.

34. My absolute favorite is Stash Chai Spice Tea

Brew it, add milk, reheat it in the microwave for just a bit, and it tastes just like what they serve in Indian restaurants.

You can get it in either black tea or green tea varieties. It's one of my favorite winter drinks.

My second favorite is Tazo Chai Tea.
