My sister and BIL were on the Boat in Chile where the
accident happened that killed 12 american tourists....

She called a while back and told me she was okay....

But it was one of those things....

I heard the news and knew they were gonna be in Chile sometime soon on their romp through South America...

I couldn't make sense of their itinerary since it was day one, day two....

Without, of course, any dates....

So I was getting concerned...

She called me right after I gave a talk for my candidate at a Ward Club meeting to tell me she was all right....

Wierd...

They were two or three buses in back...

He is a doc and she a nurse practitioneer....

But they didn't want them to help out....

I guess they were dead when they rescuers got to them...

1. Yikes... I'm glad they are alright.
I saw that on the evening news. I'm glad your family is alright. Such a small world. Best of luck to the families that lost loved ones.

2. Whew.....what a story.....
It's not getting much coverage out here......

I will look for it in tomorrow's LA Times......

I am so glad your sister and her husband are OK......

I grieve for the families that lost their loved ones.....
