Poll question: Kermit The Frog Pimping Ford's Hybrid SUV. Travesty or Progress
I feel ambivalent. It hurst to see Kermit pimping anything but singing his "It's Not Easy Being Green" trademark song for a hybrid car seems inevitable. Especially since Disney sucked up The Muppets long ago.

But did it have to be an SUV? Those cars aren't crash compatible, make driving difficult for those of us in cars, take up way more space and actually do endanger children riding in them.

On the other hand, the fact that an American car company is advertising themselves as green and doing it with Kermit is a good sign of a REAL sea change. Using Kermit appeals to baby boomers and their kids alike. Very savvy marketing that shows Ford is interesting in success and not doing their hybrid campaign half-assed.

So how do you feel about Kermit pimping Ford's new hybrid SUV?
