My husband just warned me not to open the door to anyone...
I just got a call from my husband. He says he's almost home and not to open the door for anyone. Apparently, there is a guy loose in or near our neighborhood who had gone into his workplace and shot someone there - there are police everywhere looking for this person.

2. Yikes!
Hopped-up armed men roaming the general area is a good reason to stay behind locked doors.

I hope the police catch this lunatic.

9. Yes, deadbolts are in place.
My OP was unclear on the workplace, I think - this guy went into his own workplace, not my husband's. I'm hoping to hear an update on the local news, which comes on in a few minutes.

10. UPDATE: The shooter is in custody.
I was just watching the local news. Apparently this man shot his boss with an AK47 or similar weapon. The victim is not mortally wounded. Police were conducting a search for the shooter near here, but he wound up turning himself in at the local police station.
