Jesus, I think I may have killed three people today...
I was outside in a smoking area and three non-smokers came out to talk and shoot the shit. They must have been there for ten minutes.

If they die tonight, should I turn myself in?

Damn, they knew it was a smoking area. WHY???? WHY?????

12. I'd suggest we have a mass "turn yourself in" day.
Of course, we'll need to build a lot more prisons and that would make a lot of people happy:

Republeicans and Holier than thou Democrats.

9. Just to be on the safe side
If this ever happens again - spray the entire area with EPA approved pesticides. Some of those things cause cancer, birth defects and neurological disorders. But at least they are SAFE!!!
What about the children?????

13. Imagine this. THAT cigarette that you smoked out there on that break may
be THE cigarette that triggers the growth of one cancer cell in your lung.

That one cell has started to divide and multiply.

Now it's two cells.

And you don't know it. Then one day, there is a threat of blood in the green mucus you cough up every morning.

And there is a spot on your lung.

But you waited too long.

Now it's four cells.

All it takes is ONE cigarette to start the chain of cancerous cells multiplying, invading and destroying. It doesn't take a pack, or years or a lifetime. It takes one.

That's all it took to kill the most gorgeous man in the world at the age of 50. He didn't look 50 when he found out he had cancer. But when he was dying 2 years later, and all the money in the world, all the friends in the world, all the benefits, all the testimonies, all the family... Thousands and thousands of people knew this man and wanted him to live, his beauty, his talent, his grace, were wasted away to nothing but a bag of skin.

But thanks to one single cigarette, he's gone.

Now it's eight cells.

I lost my mom and my dad to smoking related diseases. My mom had Graves disease, that without the complication of cigarettes could have been managed. Thanks to her cigarettes, she had her eyeball sockets scraped out to make more room for her bulging eyeballs.

Yeah, her EYEBALL SOCKETS SCRAPED to remove BONE so her eyeballs could fit in her head.

Now it's sixteen cells.

Thanks to cigarettes.

I rant, sorry, but my husband lost both of his parents to smoking related diseases as well.

I smoked for 25 years, not including the 15 years as a child that I spent closed up in a house with 2 smokers who smoked 4 packs per day.

I hope I didn't smoke THAT ONE cigarette that could cause cancer in my lungs. But I stopped 6 years ago.

Now it's thirty two cells.

I have not spent more than $15,000, yes FIFTEEN THOUSAND dollars on willingly putting toxic, cancer causing poisons in my body. I have not PAID the republicans FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to kill me.

Now it's sixty four cells, a little spot on your lung.

Please try to quit, before you smoke that one cigarette.

((((rant with love))))

16. I'm sorry for your familial experiences with tobacco.
I'm fortunate and of an age that it's not that large a worry with me.

Some people are more inclined to the damages done by smoking than others.

I come from a long line of smokers and the vast majority have lived into their 80's to 100's, except for my uncle who walked into a propeller blade in WWII.

17. rad...
I don't speak for the OP, but almost every smoker (I am one) wish they never started. WE KNOW HOW BAD IT IS FOR US. I agree with no smoking inside buildings but the outside thing is too much. And yes lung disease is the worst way to go. No need to make addicts feel bad.

25. Well, it takes feeling bad, getting scared, and PAYING REPUBLICANS $5 a
day to create the mentality that will finally get you to quit.

I STRUGGLED with my nicotine addiction. And I mean, I struggled.

It took creating a deep, significant HATE of the republicans, whereby, everytime I handed over at least $5 for a pack of poison, that I said to myself "I'm handing this to GEORGE BUSH"... to get me to the point of putting the last one out for good.

You NEED to feel bad to quit. You need to do something!!!!

Just being a passive victim of a corporate created, profiteering, toxic, murderous addiction will only kill ya.

((((((big hugs))))))

Oh, and it smells bad. My DOG used to smell like cigarettes. Yeck.

:D

22. A friend of mine just lost her brother to lung cancer.
To me, smoking isn't a joke. It harms those who do it and those who are forced to breathe it second-hand. I'm not necessarily talking about cancer. If I'm around cigarette smoke I get really, really sick. Why should I have to get sick just so someone else can inhale known carcinogens? Sorry, but I love California's anti-smoking laws. You're free to smoke in your home and other places, just not where the public congregates.

What if I went into a restaurant and started spraying pesticide? Would I be asked to leave, perhaps even arrested? Hell yeah, and for good reasons.

As someone who gets sick from second-hand smoke I don't have a helluva lot of sympathy for those of you who want to foist your nasty habit on me. Smoke at home and away from the public. Leave me the hell alone.

Stand out in the middle of the room. Clasp your hands behind your head. Touch nothing.

And PUT THE LIGHTER DOWN.

And then vote for people like Bush to send them to war to die on someone else's soil. That's the lunacy of the other side.
