I am standing while posting this and propping my keyboard on a walker so forgive the typos.

I have a compression fracture in my spine at the lower level. I was at a complete stop when I was hit by a truck going 45. The force of the impact cause my garage door opener (which was attached to the sun visor) and my sunglasses (which were on top of my head) to fly into the back area of the car (between the seat and convertible top)..oddly enough Taz (my car) doesn't look that bad because it has a racing bumper on it that absorbed a lot of it but the truck that hit me is totalled...it's a foot shorter than it was before it hit me...


I am thankful it wasn't worse but I am just pulling through a five month long depression after dealing with everything that went on in my life including dealing with my mothers' heart condition so physical pain and pain pills don't bode well for dealing with that...my poor dog wants to go for a walk (as we've been doing at 6:30 every morning) and he's a bit bummed we can't...I'm just glad he wasn't in the car at the time..he's have probably flown through the window

I do appreciate the well wishes...i have to head off to the hospital for a cat scan soon

stopped signaling a left turn and the semi driver didn't see me. I was driving a Vega wagon, remember those? Glasses flew to the back....you have my deepest sympathies. The CT scan confirmed the fracture was contained and was not a "burst" fracture. Standing is painful as is sitting...I am in bed on a laptop from work right now and bored shitless. So far, I've managed with only extra strength Tylenol as I don't want to take narcotic pain medications. This is not fun.
