13. Matt - check again - Boston area up to 20 inches by Sun night
2 weeks ago we were told have the usual 45-50 inches this winter.

I guess they do not have this long range forecast idea down quite yet.

:-)

15. What a lovely dog she is!
My family has been dogless for a year now. I just want to give Scout a big hug and get a nice doggy kiss. I'll have to settle for Siamese Smooch from Pad Thai.

They do love snow don't they? We used to have a short legged bassett mix when I was a kid. It was so hysterical to see her out plowing through the snow.

22. She's a big kisser
....which is a little more appealing now that she's grown out of her coprophagia stage. ;)

And how cute is a Siamese named Pad Thai?!? :bounce:

YOU should visit me. It's about 35 this morning, but I seriously doubt we'll see any white stuff, unless we go to *'s pig farm.

14. I didn't search Baltimore.
I looked on Dec. 26 and 27, and Travelocity couldn't even FIND FLIGHTS from Austin to Philly on those dates. :-(

I'm still contemplating my budget. I may not go anywhere.

16. Go to Southwest Airlines
When I was in New Orleans booking a last minute trip, it was $1200 out of Philadelphia. I searched Baltimore and got it for $400 plus I could get home on Friday night so I could attend the protest on Saturday.

11. Oh boy, snow!! I love it.
But I can say that because I live in No. Georgia where we only get about 1 or 2 snowfalls a year and it doesn't stick around for too long.

A program I'm involved in might be cancelled, and the snow date is the same night. Poop.

21. Snow is good!
It is December, you know.

And if you think this is bad, go live in western Michigan for a while. Two inches will come down in about, oh, two minutes. On a normal day.

Oh, and the neighborhood Xmas party advertisement had large text promoting "30,000 lbs of REAL SNOW!!!"

26. My partner and I were heading to P-town for Holly Folly Weekend...
with two other couples, and we just bagged them. They are still planning to go, but we cancelled. It is just too much to drive up there in the snow to be snowed in all day saturday and then drive back in more snow sunday. Plus, we would have to find someone to shovel out our tenants at the last minute, and I have a chest cold that looks like it is shaping up to be bronchitis, and don't want to get those guys sick...

BUT I WANT TO GO TO HOLLY FOLLY WEEKEND!!!

19. P-town is that little bit of Sodom and Gonorrhea on the tip of Cape Cod
Edited on Fri Dec-05-03 10:39 AM by thom1102
known a Provincetown. (I am sure Matcom knows all about P-town, doncha Matcom:evilgrin:?) A quaint little fishing village cum artist's refuge literally in the very tip of the Cape. It has long been a vacation spot for Gays and Lesbians (and is just about all gay on season), much like your Rehobeth Beach, only gayer.

Holly Folly is the last weekend of reverie there and all the shops have big sales to liquidate their inventories and the town is all lit up. The Gay Mens Chorus will be performing. This would have been my first, but our friends who go every year say it is a lot of fun.
