10. I didn't even know anything was going on until my house mate called.

There was an armed robbery in town earlier. That was 5 miles away.

One of my neighbors was robed, shot in both legs and his truck was stolen. The cops found his truck 1/4 away (on the other side past my house) in a church parking lot.

The last thing I heard was 3 men are on foot, armed and dangerous!

I lived in Sheepshead Bay and Staten Island for 18 years. It isn't easy to remain desensitized when people are shooting your neighbors!
