3. Don't know. Depends what I can get on a given evening.
The English language shows are listed in the Passport to World Band Radio. Sometimes one will come in, but others won't.

6. Night time is the best time for short wave reception.
Austral-Asia can be tough. Easier if you're on the west coast. I used to listen to Macca's "Cuppa in the Morning" from Australia.

9. Can't you podcast most of the shows?
I get BBC and ABC.au shows all the time over the net for future listening.
