Shameless self-promotion -- Some moderately humorous things I've written.

Way back in January of 2001, EarlG and I had a vision for a website that had a great discussion forum, and a bunch of funny articles on the homepage. The discussion forum has since grown into the best discussion forum on the Internet, but we haven't been able to post much funny stuff, other than the Top 10 Conservative Idiots, because for most of the last five years we've had way too much other stuff to do.

After all this time, I have finally reorganized my priorities and shuffled around my schedule enough so that I can find time to write a little bit. For the last week and a half -- inspired by the new DU Journals -- I've tried to write something funny every day. Some of it is good, some not so good. But overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the results.

I don't know how often you all venture into the Editorials & Other Articles forum, or to the DU homepage, so I don't know if you all have seen any of this. But just in case you missed it, here are some links to the stuff I've been writing...

Did you notice that for the first few days of the Journals I was the second most read one? It amused me greatly....Until I realized why!

I have removed the story that drew so many folks, and now my status is falling back towards its true level, thank goodness!
