1. Heineken? Fuck that shit! Pabst Blue Ribbon!!!
Actually, I'll go ahead and recommend some Samuel Smith...but it depends how much filthy lucre you have, and what you're in the mood for.

8. If you're talking about the Samuel Smith lager, it's good stuff...
Definitely preferable to Heineken, IMO.

10. I like the pale ale and a couple of the stouts, too
depending on my mood. That stuff is all pretty expensive, though.

3. If you were anywhere close to Wisconsin I would say Spotted Cow
but you cannot get that outside of Wisconsin.

9. Just had some of that a few week ago
Spotted Cow is a darned good ale, but a bit light for my tastes.

I still prefer Guinness Extra Stout (especially with a shot of John Jameson's finest uisce beatha on the side).

11. Just make sure you can't see any light through it
If you can find Capital Brewery's Nosferatu (probably WI region only), Founders Imperial Stout (MI), or Founder's Breakfast Stout (MI), I guarantee it will be worth your while (and your money). Just don't bother to eat dinner first -- the stouts will fill you up enough.

But of the choices you have listed, I have to recommend the Guinness.

16. Either go with Chico's finest (Sierra Nevada)
or Lost Coast's Downtown Brown.

Or anything from the Mendocino Brewing Company.

What can I say? I like the local stuff! :D

The thought of them makes me almost willing to brave four hours in line at a US airport for interrogation by the Neocon KGB (aka Homeland Security) again ... but not quite ...

Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 10:02 PM by Xipe Totec
Good, no nonsense Canadian beer. At a buck fifty a can, you can't beat it.

And I see that I missed that choice in the poll, so I went for 'other'.

Shows what two cans of the brain will do to your stuff.
