2. After the first 5 mins--I hate both of them.

The fundie is just a fundie with a verbally abusive control-freak for a husband, and the other one is too busy fucking around on her computer to interact with her family.

call her names or what? Most of them that I have met are usually the male domineering types. No suprises there.

4. He's trying to convert her in the car.

Told her to read the material on creationism in their bathroom. Warned her if she doesn't accept Jesus, she is going to hell.

Star Wars computer mom responds by asking whether he has considered that aliens might have dropped us here.

I love this show.

5. I do too...

but my dad pretty much monopolizes the TV. (I am a 26 year old disabled woman living with dad.)And when I get to watch my show he will usually comment on how stupid it is.

I love Wife Swap as well. I also love Black White which I watch over at my sis's.

6. I saw Wife Swap once.

I thought the participants were acting for the cameras, like they had been told to hype it up. I found it over the top and annoying.

This show, I think they have really good editors and just let the people be their scary selves.

I have to admit it gets sad sometimes. Fundie dad just berated 7 year old daughter for not drinking every bit of milk before putting her glass in the sink. Mean scary voice: "I'm very disappointed in you, young lady!"

7. Geez, I feel sorry for that poor little girl.

I read somewheres that this is one of the reasons why people in America are obese what with restaurants offering larger portions and that most people have been raised to eat everything on their plates. Sort of like "Eat your food, God doesn't like people who waste their food."

Well I gotta go, dad's screaming at me to get off the computer.

8. Nah, after watching the whole thing (rather than just the...

edited clips before the commercial break, lol) he was definitely just a control-freak and a fundie, but I didn't find him abusive--at least not in the generally accepted kind of way.

Both of the moms bugged me, but I actually liked the fundie mom better, how weird is that???

9. I'm with you...fundie mom seems really nice. Husband is ok, too.

However, the Star Wars mom is nuts! I keep wanting to smack her upside across the head. She looks a lot like Christine Lahti, I think.
