My first year or so on DU I never left the lounge. My very first post in the lounge was nearly my last. It was about gerbils and it upset a DUer named Atomic Gerbil.

There were about 13,000 registered users then. Posts would often survive for days. I wrote a whole book in the lounge. Hahahaha.

10. My favorite cat

was an abused Russian Blue that my SIL rescued and gave to us. She settled in with us and was best friends with our German Shepherd Gresha. Her name was Madam Blue and she was a gentle lady.

Hey DA. I have been totally devoid of energy today. I blame it on cabin fever and the spring that has not sprung.

But today (Saturday) will be better. I guess you have snow? We will be getting some over the week end the weather man tells us.

We have a dusting of snow here. The weather man predicted a blizzard last week. Some schools and businesses closed in anticipation. But the blizzard never came. Maybe a few dozen snowflakes fell in the yard. Perhaps I will become a weather reporter. How difficult can it be?
