DU computer question???? HELP

I am all set up to log on to DU from my computer but when I try to log on using my daughter's lap top I cna't do it.

Does anyone know why? And how to fix it

1. Do you know if cookies are turned on and which browser you are using?

How do I find out about those two things?

And choose "about"

that will tell the browser name.

Then look at this page for step by step instructions

BTW, she may have cookies turned off for a reason like privacy or security so it computer etiquette would normally to tell the owner of the change.

6. I did what you told me

I fixed the cookie thing, browser is micro internet explorer.

I think the problem is that her computer is set up with her email address not the address I used to sign up to DU. All the cookies seem to go back to her email. Can that be the problem? And if so how do I work with it?

7. Email address should have nothing to do with it.

I'm not following your question very well --- but it sounds possible that you may not be entering your password correctly to log into DU - and you probably have your regular computer set to save your password so you've forgotten it.

If THAT'S not it - you need to start from the beginning, being very specific. What sequential steps are you taking to try and do what you want to do - and what exactly happens as a result?

Yes I do have my password saved on my laptop. But I tried twice before to log on to DU on her computer and both times is says "incorrect password" I went back to check to be sure I was entering the correct password. I even went back and found the email from DU Admins when I first signed up.

As you can tell I am not a computer wiz, so any help would be much appreciated.

9. This sounds kind of stupid

but make sure that the Caps Lock is off when you enter the password...

You could also log in to DU on your computer and change the password, then you'll know for sure what it currently is - you may have changed it at some point since signing up.

Looks like you may be right. I just tried to change password and it won't let me cause my password is incorrect. OK I admit I am stupid. So now that we have that figured out how do I find out what my password is????
