LynzM & The little M were maid of honor and flower girl in our friend Lauren's wedding today. So we made sure to get a picture of all of us dressed up since it's a rare occurrence! So here we are arriving at the reception:

13. I really like the dress

I don't usually notice such things. However, in May my wife and I have been invited to a black tie wedding for my boss's son. Now, this is the first black tie for us - up to now its been banquet and fire halls. This will be a new experience. So, my wife has been looking for a formal dress. Men are so much easier - just rent a tux. We have no imagination!

Anyway, I hope we find a dress as nice as yours. And, yes, three can be kinda tough. So can four, and five, and...! You have a wonderful, happy looking family. Thanks for sharing the pics.

This one's brand is Michelangelo, I just checked for you :) Formalwear is harder for women; I agree. This was the first formal dress I've ever worn that was actually pretty comfortable, which was nice.

37. she can rent a dress, did you know? Also a nice long black

skirt with a jazzy top is just fine these days. The black skirt can be worn over and over again as they never go out of style. Black and white is very IN this spring and it is perfectly OK to wear black to a wedding anymore..heck I have been to weddings where the bridesmaids wore black.

It is pretty easy to find a dressy black skirt: chiffon, crepe, satin, any dressy fabric will do and if she can sew, a simple straight style or Aline would be easy to make. Of course, midnight blue or very dark green would also serve the purpose.

ALSO check out the resale shops which are run by society organizations like Jr League, or an expensive private school Usually the rich ladies dump their wardrobes there and you can come up with a good buy.

Thanks YDinTX. Very kind of you to take the time to provide interesting ideas. When I rent the tux I'll ask about renting a formal dress. I like the color of dark green you suggested. We had been looking at black and found a nice short length at a discount outlet. I rather like the idea of a full length a bit like the one LynzM had in her picture.

Rich ladies we have lots of in our area. We'll check out some local thrift shops.

That's really nice of you to take the time to give me suggestions.
