5. Then why does my cat food include carrots? |
|
One of the brands of tuna we feed the hordes has carrots, and they love it. No ill effects on their health either, according to their vet.

10. When I first read your post, my first thought was |
|
maybe I should pick up some dog food and see if the psychotically finicky beasties like it...
Seriously, they're getting really bad. What they adore one day, they turn their collective nose at the next. It's maddening.
And I'm tired of the big loud one begging for MY chicken every other night. :D

that is 18yrs. old and very finicky now. So he tries everything including gourmet dog foods so he will eat. So thats how I ended up with a can to try on my cat. He liked it so much he was cleaning his face forever looking for a morsel missed.
I see first hand what having a finicky cat is like. Makes me glad that my cat eats almost any moist food but prefers his purina dry food. My cat is not that crazy about people food so I guess I'm lucky.

6. A little dog food won't hurt the cat, nor will the occasonal vegetable. |
|
They shouldn't have dog food as their sole diet because they need more protein than dogs do. But it's not a problem if the cat steals a helping of Alpo now and then.

13. There is also a vitamin thingy that starts with a "T" that is added |
|
to cat food these days - because cats get diseases without it. Of course they eat grass. Heck - I wonder half the time I open a can of cat food if it isn't tofu covered in starch and broth. That is what it looks like to me. No wonder they like my bacon so much!! But there are some additives that are important in the cat food. If you've ever had a male with urinary blockage - you'll never forget it.
