Laura Bush, Condi, and Katherine Harris were at my play this weekend
Its the first time ever I wished I could break character and give them a piece of my mind.

2. The man who came to dinner...they were there on friday night
the secret service was there sweeping the area...I thought G. W. and Laura were going to show, but I guess it was a girls night out. I wonder how those 3 spend an evening(besides catching a play).

18. Wow... with only 250 seats it must have been really distracting to have...
them in the audience. I don't think I could do that without puking on them.

19. haha, well with all the lights and shit, you can hardly see anyone
which kinda makes it easier. but yeah, its still kinda nerve wracking.

21. I've played a few off-broadway theaters that had about that many
seats... I had no trouble seeing the audience. They must have been sitting in the front row or some other prime seating though... Surely you saw them?

22. Nah, I can't see anything past about 5 feet off the stage
but I try not to look out there anyway, people tend to notice when you're scanning the audience instead of acting.

24. True... that's why I usually looked for people in the audience while I was
offstage... then there aren't any lights to distract. It's really easy to see everyone in an audience that size... don't tell me you weren't curious when you were offstage or during the curtain call at the end to look for them in the audience? I sure would have been.

25. Yeah, but you can't see people while you're offstage in this theatre
unless you peek through the curtain, which probably would have got me in trouble.

27. So no one in the cast or crew knew where they were sitting?
Wild. Amazing three such women could blend in so well among 250.

30. Oh no, Im sure some people knew where they were
I just didn't look. I'd assume they sat pretty close to the front.

6. What was the show?
Edited on Sun Mar-26-06 09:30 PM by Misunderestimator
On edit I see you said it was "The Man who Came to Dinner"... interesting that there was no press about three such incredibly prominent women being at one play at one time. Wild.

so the bushes come out to see her perform. This is the second time I've been in a show that Laura bush came to see, didn't expect a whole entourage though

26. You are _the_ consummate actor.
And all of DU is a stage.

Go ahead and give Laura, Condi and Katherine a piece of your mind though, frankly, I'm surprised you have you've even a morsel (never mind a whole _piece_) of your mind to spare, what with your DOD contracts, plasma-TV watching, strippers you want to slap around, etc.. :eyes:

But the moderators would say that we can't go on together with suspicious minds.

So I'll be quiet.

And get back to my game of Heidi-go-seek.
