I'm talking about the crash that killed Indy driver Paul Dana. I've been watching the news for about an hour and I've already seen this horrid accident no less than twenty times. If I was his family I would be sick...and, WHY didn't he slow down under a yellow flag. :(

and perhaps they need to show it one tenth of the times they showed the WTC buildings tumbling.

I'm not much of an F1 fan' I'm more a NASCAR fan. But regardless, it saddens me when a driver in ANY circuit dies.

I was wondering if he was ok until the second car hit him. Is this what they are saying?

7. He was in the second car |
|
Eddie Carpenter was in the car that originally crashed. Paul Dana was in the car that hit Carpenter's.

I thought I read something like that but when I saw it on the news this morning, they kept the camera on the first car and I was a bit confused. Thanks. It was certainly a terrible accident.

Our local news showed it three times in the thirty seconds they were talking about it.

11. The wreck had just happened. The yellow flag is waived at the start/finish |
|
line and there are various "street lights" around the track.
The driver who hit him may have been at a point where he was unable to see either the flag or a yellow light or simply couldn't slow down in time.

|
Everyone is stunned that he didn't see the flag.
