Good Monday Morning, Crew!

:donut::hi:
I hope you had a great weekend! :bounce: I had to work, so I stayed busy both days. Saturday afternoon, Greekspeak and I went to Publix to do our grocery shopping and in the end spent $190.00! Everything looked so damned good. Plus, there were a LOT of buy one get one free offers, so we couldn't pass those up either. Our cart looked like we were stocking up for the winter!

I did have one incident happen yesterday that made me mad...a guy called the store 10 minutes before we closed and told the associate he was on the way there, that he was about 2 mnutes away and wanted to know if he could still come in to make his purchase. She told him yes, so long as he made it by 6:00, our closing time. 6:00 arrived, I locked the doors, counted my cash tills and was getting ready to close out my last register when, at 6:10, there came a pounding on the door. Mister I'm Special had arrived. Then, the phone rang. Mister I'm Special was standing outside the door demanding to be let in because the girl he talked to told him we would stay open for him so he could buy his dart board and was having a royal fit that the door was locked! Of course, we had to let him in to make his purchase. x( People like that piss me off, you know it! :grr:

And so begins another work week. For once, I am off on a Monday! :bounce: I have a few errands to run today, and it will be good not to be rushed to get them done so I can get my little butt to work. :woohoo:

Are you ready for this Monday? It's here so we don't have any choice I guess, so let's start it out right! :bounce: Grab some coffee or some tea, have a seat and start this day right...with me! :bounce:

51. Unfortunately, I can't tell you that.
It's nothing personal at all, believe me. I do that with just about everybody.

But I can tell you that it's a dramatic action comedy (if that makes sense), and it's called "Blue Notes."

53. I completely understand!
When I was in school and had to write for English, I wouldn't go into my stuff with others either. It's cool! I was wondering about what kind of story it was anyway..."dramatic action comedy" tells me that. Wouldn't it be cool if one day, I went to the theater and saw a movie called "Blue Notes" and I could say; "Hey! I know the person who wrote the screenplay to this movie!" :woohoo:

5. Good Morning, Clint.
Sorry you had to deal with a difficult customer. So are you cooking up anything special with all those groceries?

I slept awful. Finally gave up at 2:30 am and went to a 24 hour grocery to take care of that errand. Good news is the bathroom renovation starts today, so I won't be going into work.

It's good to see you today! Difficult people are just part of the job when you work retail. But they are NEVER any fun, let me tell ya. I'm sorry you had such a bad night of sleep. I've had those as well and they totally suck. x( So you have a Monday off and so do I! :woohoo: I bet you're looking forward getting the bathroom done, huh? :bounce:

But, the number of good customers FAR outnumber the bad ones, so it's OK. Post a couple of pictures when the bathroom gets finished so we can see what it turns out like, OK?! :bounce:

I bet you got a lot of good stuff to eat! I'll be over for lunch. I hate the sense of entitlement that runs through our society today. It's really sad that people don't take into account the lives of others when they decide they need to be taken care of "right this minute". I hope you have a great day!

I know exactly what you mean about entitlement - though I have to confess to falling victim to it from time-to-time myself, though I do my very best never to irritate service-industry folk they have a hard enough time of it anyway.

I think it is something we all...at least some of us...struggle with. The ones who abuse service industry workers should watch out. This world is fast becoming one of service related jobs. They may find themselves on that end sooner, rather than later.

Anyway, good morning, had a fairly good day today. My math skills, I've decided, are way awesome. An entire insoluble MATH1901 assignment suddenly was done. Straight from question to answer, time after time. And since this is advanced university level maths, the function solutions made lovely curves and coils. (On an output plane, silly, If they were on a normal xy plane it wouldn't be a function!)

55. Lots. One day (back in school), when asked whether Britney Spears
way a sportswoman, or singer, I couldn't answer...sometimes I  , but you do have to remember the likes of her are mostly famous because they lead a lifestyle that is the envy of people with the brains of a squid (Giant, of course, preferably dragged up by the Bolivian navy on Maneuvres in the south Pacific ). I know physics, maths, chemistry, philosophy, psychology, I understand the fundamental reasons for the creation of the left and right wings of politics, they can keep their transient celebrities.

So there!

But Take On Me sounds O.K., if you like it. I will try to hear it, but no promises. (I'm running through a proxy server so there is a 4c per meg netsurfing fee)

I didn't know you had to pay per Meg. That sucks. I'm sure that can get damned expensive at times. I couldn't do that...I buy too much music online.

God that is annoying, if I could feel annoyed, I certaintly would. But I'm too happy, so who gives a sh*t? Guess the swearword! SH*TSTICK TINfOIL LOONER F*CK... the 9/11 was explosives guy who had that f-ing video in his post. :P :D

76. Very Happy. In the future, I'll be working on the Grand Unified Theory/
String Theory/Unified Field Theory, (I'm going to try and find the final scientific description of the universe), and I can already see and predict so very much, even what humans do. When my two rightwing flatmated talk, I already know what they will say, why it is wrong, why I don't need to argue, what would happen if I did, and if gives me hope I know that we CAN have a good and prosperous society with them, and with every single obnoxious bastard on the planet. If the GUT/ST/UFT thing doesn't work out, I'll fix the world, I think! Seriously, who wouldn't be happy if they were in my position?

Once more to clarify: I'm beginning to understand everything. It is huge. It makes sense. People have free will. Peoples actions can be predicted. There is another theorum that unites GR and QM.

Here's something I'm not sure about: What the final form of government will be... methinks just a tinkered democracy, but I'm not sure.

Any deep thoughts on your behalf, dear Clintmax?

Funnily enough, I'm an old time hard rock fan as well.
I've found that both require some 'ear training' before one can truly appreciate them.

The temperature has suddenly jumped. A few days ago it was still hovering just above freezing, as it had been for weeks, and then all of a sudden it leapt up to 15C. That is a very marked difference! Today it is very windy.

72. Morning Clint!
Looks like you're stocked up to feed the whole neighborhood! Suspect you won't have to food shop for sometime.

Sad to hear about your rude customer. I worked retail during the holidays one year for some extra cash, and yes, once a person has worked retail, you get whole new prospective on the job. I ALWAYS treat people with respect, no matter what. Had a guy called at the store I worked at and said he wanted some advice about buying lingerie for his gf. Well, needless to say, he just wanted to talk underwear with a girl. I hung up on him and told the manager. Apparently he had called before and it was perfectly acceptable to hang up on the guy. Pretty sick, huh?
