The official "My NCAA picks really sucked this year" thread
I didn't pick one Final Four team. Hell I would have done a better job if I had picked my teams based on colors and mascots

me!
I had Duke, Memphis, Michigan State, and Ohio State (had to stick with my school, there :D).
So, yeah, my bracket's pretty fucked. But I want to meet the person who had THIS final four picked

6. Had UCLA.
Let's say no more. The others have gone the way of the George Mason, including my own Alma Mater, UNC-CH.

3. Thirty people in my bracket at work, and as of today
not one of them has ANY of the Final Four teams. Only 3 people can win any more points, but it won't make any difference in their scores.

This year sucked . . . .

7. Look at the Leader Board of the Yahoo! Pick 'Em
One guy -- One guy out of the zillion or so who entered, actually picked the Final Four correctly. After that, most of the folks among the leaders got only two of four correct.

I was a funkey tournament. But fun!

4. About 40 of my students filled out a bracket
the day before the tournament started. As I scored the brackets today, all but 5 kids are completely busted. Of the 5 who are still in, nobody picked more than one Final Four team - I had 3 pick UCLA, 1 pick LSU, and 1 pick Florida.

Only one kid out of 40 picked George Mason in the first round.

I was just hoping Arkansas would get by Bucknell.. but the way they were shooting, they deserved to lose.

8. I picked two of them.
I bet you can guess who I screwed up on!

BTW-I believe it was ESPN.com (but I'm not sure) who stated that only 4 people had picked correctly.

9. Hate to say it, but trying to pick a bracket is a fool's game anymore.
Back then, when good schools were able to hoard all of the talent, it was far easier to pick at least 2 or three good teams you knew would be can't misses. Now, former sure shots like Duke, UConn, and Arizona are no longer the guarantees they once were. This columm can offer some insight as to why this is . . .
