Squeech music live in Boston
Two upcoming events.

Tim Mungenast and his Pre-existing Conditions, featuring Squeech on bass, at SkyBar, 518 Somerville Ave in Somerville, 10PM this Friday, March 31.

Also on the bill: Architectural Metaphor (sort of a prog-rock tribute band with prominent synth), MiniKaos (hard funk meets goth metal) and Sky Bear, about whom I know nothing.

And at 7PM Saturday, April 8, Tim and I will improvise with the very excellent saxophonist Ken Field (Birdsongs of the Mesozoic, Revolutionary Snake Ensemble, Persistence of Memory Orchestra, Alto Reform School, etc.) at the Lily Pad, 1355 Cambridge Street, Inman Square, Cambridge.

And BTW, if anybody wants to meet up at Bukowski's on April Fools Day, post here in order to keep my shameless self-promotion thread kicked :bounce:

2. Here's a Squeech-promotion post.
I'll make a note of those shows, though I'm not sure as yet if I'll be able to go. Do you know what time you're going on?

I was wondering if that April Fools' thing was still on the table, or if it was just something floated and forgotten. Maybe you should have used that as the thread subject, to get attention, and thrown your gig info into the post. :-)

3. Thanks
Yeah, that would have been the more sensible tactic.

Except that I have this fear that I'm the one that's on everybody's Ignore list...

Anyway, the SkyBar show, we're on at about 10, after Architectural Metaphor and before MiniKaos. The Lily Pad gig I think we're first up, at 7:00. It's actually a CD release party for the headliners, and they seem to be telling us not to mention that we also have a new CD so as not to steal their thunder, but we do, so we'll talk more about that at SkyBar, I guess.

4. Sounds cool, dude
I don't know if we'll be able to make it up for either one, but I'll definitely help you kick your thread!! :bounce:

5. Thank you too
We'll do more rock gigs, and hopefully better ones, later in the season. We're trying to arrange a big deal show where we can really stretch out, and have some other bands we really like join us.

The improv gig will be unrepeatable abstract art music, good stuff if you like that kind of thing, which not many people do :P

6. Once more with feeling
Although I suggest we'll do better shows than this one, you should come see this one anyway, so you'll already know the songs when we do them properly :-)
