32. Beef?
That was a weird and unexpected experience. Let's just say I didn't know what I was ordering. It was a (very) nice restaurant, and I ordered this appetizer with an Italian sounding name which said something like "thinly sliced beef, capers, cheese and vegetables served with Italian bread". When it arrived, I thought there was tomato sauce on the beef. Nope, it was actually *that* red, which I didn't notice until after I took a bite.

It was delicious. My dad and I finished the whole plate, much to the disgust of my mom. No ill effects, either.

When the waitress returned to pick up the plate, I said "be honest, that stuff was totally raw, wasn't it?" She replied "it's very thinly sliced". I said "that's not the point. Did they cook it?" Again I got the thinly sliced remark. So I said "they just sliced it raw and threw it on the plate, right". She finally fessed up, and I told her how much I enjoyed it. She seemed relieved :)

An inn in the mountains of Japan served raw horsemeat dredged in soy sauce. It tasted more of soy sauce than anything else.
