I hate living in a cliche. It's like when my dog pees on a fire hydrant...it's just embarrassing. :eyes:

Two ten point leads and that was with Kitna in the game. Plus that botched snap in the third quarter didn't help. I have the game on DVD and I saw it again this weekend.

64. it'll be fun watching the stealers go 7-9 this year.......
karmic payback for bad super bowl calls is a bia-tch...so is losing key players to free agency. they had a 27 year drought after the last case of karma hit them(aka....the bad ref call against my beloved oilers in the '79 afc playoff game)...expect it again.

70. You really think Free Agency is going to affect the Steelers?
Because they rebuild fine through the draft and the calls in the super bowl weren't perfect but the Seahawks didn't help themselves when their so called TE dropped 4 passes among other things. Funny how people whine about the SB calls and don't even think about how bad the calls were in the AFC Divisional game against Indy.

21. ew. That is REALLY bad
To this day, I cannot listen to the Indigo Girls because that damned "Closer To Fine" song was all over my campus during freshman year. It was like everywhere I turned, another no-talent picked up guitar and had formed a really terrible "folk-rock" group just to cover that song.

Between them and Edie Brickell, I was quite happy to never listen to my college radio station again.

22. Here's some ambience: Closer to Fine
I’m trying to tell you something about my life
Maybe give me insight between black and white
And the best thing you’ve ever done for me
Is to help me take my life less seriously
It’s only life after all
Yeah

Well darkness has a hunger that’s insatiable
And lightness has a call that’s hard to hear
I wrap my fear around me like a blanket
I sailed my ship of safety till I sank it
I’m crawling on your shores

I went to the doctor, I went to the mountains
I looked to the children, I drank from the fountains
There’s more than one answer to these questions
Pointing me in a crooked line
And the less I seek my source for some definitive
(the less I seek my source)
The closer I am to fine
The closer I am to fine

And I went to see the doctor of philosophy
With a poster of rasputin and a beard down to his knee
He never did marry or see a b-grade movie
He graded my performance, he said he could see through me
I spent four years prostrate to the higher mind
Got my paper and I was free

I went to the doctor, I went to the mountains
I looked to the children, I drank from the fountains
There’s more than one answer to these questions
Pointing me in a crooked line
The less I seek my source for some definitive
(the less I seek my source)
The closer I am to fine
The closer I am to fine

I stopped by the bar at 3 a.m.
To seek solace in a bottle or possibly a friend
And I woke up with a headache like my head against a board
Twice as cloudy as I’d been the night before
And I went in seeking clarity.

I went to the doctor, I went to the mountains
I looked to the children, I drank from the fountains
Yeah we go to the doctor, we go to the mountains
We look to the children, we drink from the fountains
Yeah we go to the bible, we go through the workout
We read up on revival and we stand up for the lookout
There’s more than one answer to these questions
Pointing me in a crooked line
The less I seek my source for some definitive
(the less I seek my source)
The closer I am to fine
The closer I am to fine
The closer I am to fine

I've been known to cross the street or fake a phone call to avoid talking to him (the first time I ran into him, I made the mistake of being nice and was there for a million years trying not to buy his overpriced lit mag). But once, before he could utter a word at me, a teenage girl in drapey black approached him and said...and I kid you not..."I've been meaning to buy a copy, here's my money, now how can I submit something?"

41. Hahaha! Poor girl. I swear it's a cult. There's no way it isn't.
I've got three half-stories about them:

1. When I was still in middle school my dad came home from work with a copy for me because "you like writing--here's a neat little paper about it. Maybe you could send something in!"

2. When I moved to Madison I was horrified to see them there too. That's not so much a story as a terrible memory.

3. A few years ago a friend of mine dressed up as one of those guys for Halloween and part of his costume was an Expressionist Journal he penned himself. It's still one of my favorite costumes of all time.

I seriously wish some people would get over the mindset that someone who dislikes a certain kind of music thinks of himself/herself as "above" it, (i.e. lazy accusations of snobbery) instead of actually seriously genuinely NOT LIKING it on aesthetic grounds.

And since you obviously don't know dolo amber, your image of her sitting at home watching infomercials is high fucking comedy gold (unintentionally).
