Diagnosis of fibromyalgia confirmed. I hurt all over...ugh.

My doc confirmed a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and the tendonitis I've had in my arm(s) for the past six weeks isn't getting any better. So, I won't be doing much typing for awhile. Wish me luck, folks. I'm really getting tired of fighting with my body. I wish it wouldn't do this to me every time I think I'm making some progress.

2. Nasty. There are only a few worse diseases, but

fibromylagia has such a bad social stigma (IIRC), that I will wish you luck for yourself and a cure, send some friendship(In smilie form) :hi: , and let's not forget the hug :hug:.

Seriously. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Major Depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Luckily, I have a few "respectable" diseases to balance them out: diabetes, degenerative disc disease and sleep apnea. :D

4. Ladyhawk, I'm sorry to hear that.

I've had clients with fibromyalgia, so have done quite a bit of reading about it. I know it's a nasty thing. :hug:

A suggestion regarding using your computer. Look into getting voice-activated software. DragonSpeak works quite well, and so you won't be using your hands hardly at all in order to communicate, type, etc. I'm not sure of the cost, but people I know who use it are very happy with it.
