House siding price question

I know I can get someone out to do an estimate, but I'm just wondering: how much does having new siding put oj cost? I know there are alot of factors, but a ballpark figure. For a one-story 1300 sft, something decent that isn't wood but looks like wood... nothing expensive! Any ideas?

We'd like to get it done next Spring.

I have found their estimates to be fairly accurate based on work I've had done. This will at least give you an idea of how much to save. :-)

3. Be careful about siding w/ Hardiplank--

hubs is a builder and says it's CRAP and still needs to be painted regularly.
