My grandfather passed away today

Jack Monterusso, my paternal grandfather has made his way Home today at 2:00am.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Stephanie, his children and multitudes of grandchildren.

I am happy to say that he didn't suffer at all.

I wasn't very close to my dad's side of the family, but this is still hitting me hard. I admired my grandma though as she is taking this quite bravely. Perhaps it hasn't hit her yet but when it does may God and the spirits comfort her.

I know when my maternal grandfather passed 5 years ago it was hard for my maternal grandma. It was hard for my mom as well.

I am just going to be there for my dad these coming weeks as I know that he isn't showing it, but he is sad.

Please pray for us, send vibes whatever as I know this is going to be hard.

8. Did your grandfather own a couple of bars in Grand Rapids, MI

Stephanie's, in particular, located next door to Steelcase? If so, my dad was good friends with him. The fact that his wife's name is Stephanie leads me to believe it is the same guy.

24. He was cremated yesterday

and we will be holding a reception on Sunday. My grandma is doing very well dispite this but I know she is already missing him.
