Well, I'm not going to have to call anyone as it turns out.

I came home today to see like three police cars, an ambulance and a Norfolk city car in front of my building.
Carl (my notoriously gay neighbor.... he calls himself that.... not me) said that they came roaring up at about noon and had been there ever since.
Last night had been a BIG party night and they didn't take their kid to school today (making it day 25 for absences) so social services came by.... left... then all the others came.
Carl and I figured when the social worker came they were as JACKED UP as they were the other night when we saw them looking for their cat. About 10 minutes ago a female social worker left with the little girl.

This is *not* pointed at you.... It sounds like one of those convenient things the Party Of Cain says about us... poop. We may understand how it can happen, and why some people have been predisposed to such behavior, and want treatment for them rather than jail, but.... that doesn't equate to sympathy for their actions.

My sympathy is zilch, until/unless they do the hard work to get their lives together and make restitution for what they have done.
