That was the stupidest PSA I've ever seen!

I was toggling between MSNBC and NBC to see what was on NBC, and they had one of those "The More You Know" PSAs with a blurb from a tv personality that I didn't recognize. This one was about (drum roll, please) wedding invitations! It went something like this:

"When you get a wedding invitation, put it in a safe place. Don't call the bride three days before the wedding asking a bunch of questions when the answers are on the invitation. Everything you need to know is on the invitation."

Now, it's good advice, but is it really worth a PSA? I mean, why aren't they asking us to think about our carbon footprint, or the misery in Darfur, or the misery residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave?

I do not get it at all. Why was this so important it needed a PSA? Then later I saw one where a guy was saying 5'9" is not short, it's average. I have no idea what the point was. It was almost like a parody of those "The more you know" PSAs.

I think they are fake. They have the stars from "the Office" in them.

2. I don't watch that show, so I wouldn't know those characters.

Funny, this wasn't on at any time close to that show time.
