I get to play Wicked Step-Mother for a whole week!!
My 11 year old step-son is flying down tomorrow for Spring Break so I get to be the wicked step-mother all week.

I've already had the housekeeper short-sheet his bed, blocked all the channels on his tv except for the Cartoon network and changed the password on his computer.

Anything else I should do to make him feel welcome and piss him off?

2. Oh, that's good....
except I don't cook and we can't get brussel sprouts here.

He actually likes broccoli. He hates anything with bananas, tho. Maybe a banana cream pie?

7. don't do it. he'll only grow up and get even with you
i say be nice, give him some money to spend when he goes out, give him time alone with dad, be supportive and happy to see him, and complimentary.

remember it can be a bit awkward being tween

besides, if you're cool and great then it will either piss his mom off or make her your friend.

(i know you're probably kidding, the kid is probably great and you're probably wonderful w/him. have fun! that's the most important piece of advice. have fun!)

5. Of course I did...
but I absolutely adore him and this is a running gag between us. I always refer to myself as the wicked step-mother and he just laughs.

I'm really excited for him to be here...haven't seen him since xmas break.
