Today's my last day at this crappy job!
:woohoo:

It's sunny and nice outside, our man Russ is on the Span, and come this afternoon I'll never have to see this place again! Today is good.

:toast:

7. Hi there! How are you doing?
Edited on Fri Mar-31-06 10:17 AM by jane_pippin
I feel like I haven't seen you around much this week. Busy with moving stuff?

8. I was out of town until late Monday, sick Wednesday...
Procrastinating, at least, on moving stuff. My apartment's trashed, though -- boxes everywhere.

We get the keys tomorrow!

6. Yes. That's what I meant to say, thanks.
Thanks! A good day will be made great if the boss decides not to show up.

(Please, please, please god, hear my prayer).

I'd like to reenact that, if at all possible.

38. Ok it goes like this:
(more or less--I'm bad at remembering movie quotes)

"Fuck you, Fuck you, Fuck you, You're ok, Fuck you, I'm out!"

The character had a job at a fast food joint and finally lost it and quit. You should see it--it's a good, fun, stupid movie.

4. You should tell your boss "fuck you, douchebag" around 10:00.
That way, you can leave early.

14. That's assuming he even shows up today.
Which I doubt he will and hope he won't.

I should leave early. Hmmm. Nah, I can't do that to my coworkers, even the batshit crazy one. It'll be difficult enough for them starting next week.

Usually when a good show and a warm spring day coincide, which it did, therefore...Summertime!

Pee in the trashcan before you leave, and hide it somewhere.
On second thought, don't. Those ideas never turn out as well as they seemed like they would in one's own mind.

29. The freaky thing is that it all matches my stuff.
My place looks like a thrift store threw up all over my apartment, essentially.

I'm going to have to start collecting items for a LaraMN surprise package. You'll get it when you least expect it.

32. Lol! I have a "family-friendly" type of dwelling,
but there is no cohesive "theme" to my decor, except, perhaps, "clutter." Once upon a time we had a really nice mannequin named "LaTonya," but one of my old roommates got her when we went our separate ways.

As far as I can tell they haven't hired anyone to replace me. Having Absentee Boss attempt to actually do work should be a sufficiently satisfying train wreck.

Besides it is also malicious. Plus, she might need a reference from this employer some day.

My supervisor has been such an asshole and I can't stand it. I'd quit if I didn't need the money.

Enjoy your good day. :)

Hang in there and spend as much time as you can looking for something better so you can leave the dysfunction behind. (And move on to new dysfunction, probably, but hey...what can you do.)

Thanks, Fox.

37. Yes I am. The coworker is the least of the reasons, though still a reason
This place is so dysfunctional that I don't know what to tell the boss. I just went with "My other job offered me full time and health insurance." Which is true.

It's also true that this place is a totally insane work environment, but since it's the boss that's responsible for most of it and I may need a reference, I'm going to hold off laying out all the reasons for now. I'm sure I'll have a chance to let him know though. It's a small town and I'll probably run into him sooner or later.

39. Well, I'm glad you're getting out of there.
I've had some pretty crappy work experiences myself.

I used to tell people I was going to get myself a jacket like the VIetnam vets used to wear, that said, "When I die I'll go to Heaven, cause I've spent my time in Hell." I felt like I had.

Best of luck to you on your new job!

42. Thank you, I am enjoying it. I've got a good radio show on
playing good, loud, half-angry/half dancey rock and or roll, my desk is cleaned out, and more than one time I've gotten to say, "well, I'm not sure but it's no longer my problem to find out."

Only downside: People keep interrupting my awesome chair dancing moves by coming into my office and asking me questions about things I can't really help them with anymore--at least not to the degree I could if I was coming back on Monday. Oh well. They'll live.
