I have to say this.....
Patrick Califia, Susie Brite, Dan Savage, Mark Morford... people who will stand up and be counted.

And why don't we have the same courage?

Khash.

1. Well, I think that sometimes, quietly doing the right things in small
ways is good also...

2. True....
I agree with you. A lot of great work can be done that way.

But sometimes it becomes time to shout your name, to shout your opinions, to make a difference! I'm starting to feel that.

5. Dan Savage is the editor of Seattle's The Stranger...
Edited on Fri Mar-31-06 04:05 PM by SteppingRazor
also writes a graphic sundicated advice column, and recently started the Web site ImpeachTheFuckerAlready.com.

Morford's a great newspaper columnist with the San Francisco Chronicle.

Basically, they're all writers, with a medium in which to express their opinions. I don't understand what Khash expects a lot of people here to do

On edit: Also, I don't see why Khash is impugning the courage of DUers over this. How is it that a bunch of people who get online and willingly espouse their opinions are cowardly? Because they don't use their real names? Because they don't have a newspaper column? Or what?

8. All I expect of DUers
is to speak up.

The truth? Well, speaking the truth for Khash is difficult. Basically, he's a coward.

But so many people here on DU have great ideas, great thoughts. They should be shared around, people should hear them!

I'm not impugning anyone. If I insulted anyone, I'm sorry.

I just want the people who have said amazing things to me to say it to everyone else.

12. Ok Peggy...
Pat Califia writes amazing S/m porn, Susie Bright is totally militant about her daughter, gay rights and sewing, Check out her blog.. Mark Morford writes brilliant screeds twice a week.. Dan Savage writes Savage Love - about weird sex thangs, but his usual advice is "dump the motherfucker already" but right now he's doing "Impeach the Motherfucker already"

If you don't now these people, you should!

6. I LOVE Mark Morford. He rocks.
Personally, I consider myself to have a lot of Courage and willingness to speak up for what I hold dear, it simply manifests on a much more intimate domain.

:)

"Let Your Life Speak" I love that quote. I try to live by it. :loveya:
