I have 5 more working days and then I never have to come back to this office again.

I have loved working here, actually, for the most part. I love the Executive Director. I'm very close to many of the Board Members. BUT, the bureaucracy in this place drives me up a tree. The commute BLOWS and since I will be starting a new job very soon, I am generally OVER IT.

I really have loads to do. They haven't hired a replacement for me because they are restructuring (splitting my job into 2 jobs) so I've had no one to train. So I'm creating an instruction manual for everything that I di that no one else knows how to do, which is about 80% of everything that gets done.

This is BORING!

So I checked my email, called home to check on the baby (BTW, at what age am I no longer allowed to call him "the baby"?), made a cup of tea, checked my email again, now I'm here.

I should get back to work within 5 minutes. This is not the best use of my time.

In the meantime, entertain me! Should you be doing something else right now? What are you putting off? How long did you call your baby, "the baby"? Do you like your job? What's for dinner? Got any plans this weekend? Heard any good jokes recently?
