Wow. I just tried out the "ignore" button for the first time.

It's great. It makes whole threads just go away.

I've been here for a long time, and I think I used it once before, for a poster who seldom appears any more.

I never felt compelled to use it again. But lately there has been someone, that I have found really, really, really, really annoying, just this side of nuts.

Sonabitch starts endless threads based on his posts in other threads - all of which are completely out to lunch. It was really getting on my nerves, so I finally did it, clicked on "ignore."

It's a great feature, that "ignore." I'll always use it sparingly, but damn if it didn't make my favorite forum prettier.

He is one of the greatest posters at DU.

He is a teacher and a keen observer.

The number of his threads that go to "greatest" is a reflection of his, well, greatness.
