I'm so thankful...for days like this

At nearly 40, I am in a position to go to the bar at 1:00 in the afternoon, grab some chow with my pal Tia, then have some beers and play trivia for the next 3 hours. This may not sound like much, but after having what felt like the weight of the world on my shoulders for many, many years...to me it's relief beyond compare. That I felt ok to just go do that...and not feel like I was letting the entire world down because I wasn't at their beck and call...I am in this position thanks to my darling husband. He makes it possible for me to have moments of leisure I've not had since I was 23 and somehow got knocked up despite being on birth control. Since that time, due to circumstances and my own poor judgement I've lived a life of permanent financial stress, paycheck to paycheck, supporting everyone around me. He's freed me from this.

I know so many of you still exist in this place, and to you I send much love. Not everyone can be as lucky as I have been. :hug:

He posts so frequently and eloquently about how much he loves me, and it embarrasses me. I'm not the overtly emotional type. I can't write for shit. I just hope he understands how much it means to me that he so unconditionally allows me to have days like this and have no dire consequences.
