No one I know talks like that. It's a conservative, but pretty educated area. Some people here still say he talks like "one of them." I don't get it. It's like their dumbing themselves down, because they all speak way better than Bush.

It was nice to hear a Republican friend freak out about Bush after the SOTU address. He was like, "you know it's getting really hard to pretend that I like Bush at this point. Human-animal hybrids?!?! What the fuck is that?! Seriously, what the fuck is a human-animal hybrid? That couldn't have been written into his speech. It's like he just got some weird little though and went with it."

It was good to hear that.

It's hard to define something that seems obvious.
It is like when I went to the doctor and told him "I can't swallow"
when they (they being the doctor and later several nurses at the hospital) asked "what do you mean?" I was totally stumped.
How could they not already understand the words "I" "can't" and "swallow" and what other words could I find to explain it to them?

He is as disingenuous as a seven year old kid who didn't do his homework and gets busted when the teacher calls on him in class, then tries to fabricate an answer to cover for the fact that he doesn't have a f'ing CLUE what he's talking about. It's SO obvious that he didn't know the answer. I LOVED it when the crowd laughed at his pathetic attempt to sound competent.
