5. Actually, I've kept a log over the past weeks of links that wouldn't open.

In case anyone wants to check it our administrative-wise.

All I see for these links is the DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND.COM logo

and DONE on the left side of the status bar.

That's it.

I have no idea what's going on, but was going to tackle this next week with somebody. However, now that my journal is operating in the same fashion, I have no clue.

If anyone is willing to work with me on this, I'd appreciate it. If not, just tell me. I know it's Saturday night at the world and just rented a movie "The Sex Monster" recommended by CanuckAmok. I think I'll have a beer with that...

What kind of browser are you using?

17. Microsoft Internet Explorer. My husband is a software guy and did

a lot of looking before he went with this one. We used Netscape way back. No, we're not interested in Firefox or the others.

25. Tuesday update. Still can't get to these pages. They are blank.

Still can't get to my journal unless I'm logged out.

23. UPDATE: Monday frustration. Can't get the journal to open.

If I log out, I can see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can add to it by posting a message while logged in -- that works OK.

Still getting other random messages that won't open.

Let me know if you're in the same boat.

18. My friend has a suggestion.

He suggests logging out of DU, find your post, and click on the button that says "journal updated." If you can see it, it really is a glitch and you can e-mail elad about it, since my friend knows that he was working on things today. Good luck!:-)

Well, that's quite a glitch. So, everyone else can read my journal, and so can I -- but I can't get into the journal when I'm logged in. ONLY WHEN I'M LOGGED OUT.

I guess I better notify Elad today. :) Thank your friend, too -- maybe he/she can suggest a fix or a work-around.

Also, I wonder what's going on with SELECTIVELY NOT BEING ABLE to get into these discussion threads (not mine). Collected last week:

And my friend who suggested this is a fellow DUer and works with computers, so he obviously knew what he was talking about. This is a glitch that I really hope is fixed very soon. I'm just glad that you can now access your journal, though you can't add to it just now. I'm sorry for your frustration with all this, but you came to the right place to get answers. I'll pass this on, and thanks for letting me know that this worked for you. I'll also ask about your latest problem which sure baffles me.:shrug: Best of luck...:D

21. Rhiannon, FYI the surgery went well. I can't type too well with the

bandage, and I shouldn't be using it a lot.

Still have the problem with the journal.

Someone else brought this subject up in the DU.

I emailed Elad twice (Sunday and Monday) and Peace Patriot notified the administrators when I alerted on the message.

So, we'll see what happens.

My journal is here -- still untouched -- with a preview of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" -- tomorrow I should post an actual review.

27. I'm so glad to know it went well!

Surgery is never pleasant, I know.:-(

I have carpal tunnel, but have this magnetized support for my wrist which seems to have made all the difference. And it's an elastic band, so I can type (probably not such a good thing) and drive, etc., with no problem. Just don't overdo it until you're healed...:-)

Good luck with your journal problem. My friend thinks it's a programming issue.:shrug:

And there seem to be numerous glitches, though I haven't experienced any lately, but Elad is on the job. Here's his thread, if you missed it. Your name came up, so you aren't forgotten. I gave it a kick and posted your thread.:D
