So here is where I went today!! (pic moderate)
Theodore Wirth Park:

I think 6 people were staring at me as I ran back and forth to do all the posing...

Look closely at the signs, particularly the out-of-focus one (though the icon is clearly visible) reading "Do not turn right"... The other one with the bank reading "Think free" is also interesting...

I had to use the blue gradient lens filter, sorry!

The camera angle (and the shadows) grabbed my interest...

The main pics of the abandoned warehouse with graffiti and broken windows is for tomorrow...

2. Minnesota... Twin Sickies. Oops, Twin Cities... I went all over.
Oh, I'm fixing the finer details so I can make a 11x8" print which'll produce a giggle from my coworkers, probably...

3. Okay, how did you do it?
I know nothing about photography...is the first pic photoshopped from 4 separate photos or do you have some kind of spatial warp ability?

9. Compositing... (one more pic added)
Camera is kept at the same angle (well, for two snaps I had to reposition the camera and compensate, which I didn't want to do...).

In this case, 4 pics are taken.

One is kept as the master.

The other three are color and exposure-corrected (by hand, even Photoshop is sod-all with automatic functions and I hate computers...) then the relevant sections cut and pasted into the first. Surrounding areas are erased out, and voila. The primary pic has me sitting on the bench, looking all smug and all... had I more time, without being freaked by the prospect of 6 people calling 911 for no rational reason, there'd be 2 more pics of me in the corners with different expressions... but that wouldn't be difficult to accomplish either and I wouldn't necessarily need to go back to the same location...

I have a different, more difficult, example here:

Except the primary pic (with the green sportcoat) was taken at 7AM and the background movie poster digitally removed. (a poor job at it too, but I did put effort into re-creating the flash shadow, which looks legit...) The secondary image (brown leather) was taken at 8PM; the facial hair is a giveaway. This one was more difficult to create as I had the camera in different spots...

10. Wow.
I'm lucky if I can take a picture without getting my thumb in the shot.

Do you do this professionally?

11. Not yet... it is a goal of mine, however, as....
You are about the 50th person or so to tell me I should go into pro photography.

Which is cool as I don't know too many people so well that they'd say anything to make me feel happy... :D

13. I have tons of respect for people who do what they're good at
especially in a creative sense.

I've had people tell me to write (fiction) professionally. I get all pumped up and spend an evening writing the first dozen paragraphs. By the end of said evening, I have totally given up on myself. I don't think I'm honestly meant to be a writer.

You, however, should be a photographer. Quit your day job. It's okay, I give you permission.
