I just finished watching Star Trek II...
Yes, I cried at the end. And it's nice to see a Trek movie that takes itself seriously without being full of itself or stale. :)

Ask me anything.

1. Don't you think Dr. Zoidberg sounds like Joe Lieberman?

7. Is that why it glistened? I always thought it was interesting that the
man had no nipples. His little shrug always seemed so properly wrapped about his sternum.

11. page 200 of "I am Spock"
"An interesting sidebar: As Khan, Montalban wore a costume that showed off his chest, which was so impressively developed that many viewers speculated it might be a false breasplate. I'm here to tell you: it most definitely wasn't! Those were Montalban's enviable pecs."
Leonard Nimoy 1995

but he also claims that "a Good Mother" was well done and one reviewer completely panned his directing, and he glosses over the incident in ST IV that Nichelle Nichols describes in her book - when Uhura and Chekov are looking for the nuclear wessels and people ignore them, except for one woman who talks. She was an extra who was not supposed to talk. Nimoy was kinda drooling over her so he wanted to include her in the shot but she kept talking and they spent the day shooting re-takes. Anyway he tells the story much differently.

10. Wrath of Khan was the best one.
Ricardo Montalban was fighting horrible back pain during the filming.

And I loved the "Oh shit!" moment, when Kirk pulled a fast one on the Reliant, causing their computer to lower their shields.
