So how DO you block a phone number?
Sixteen effing calls from the same number today. That girl I can't stand- or rather (I expect)- her kid calling mine. I turned the ringer off when the phone calls started at about 7am, and I just looked to find my caller ID backed up with her number. No message, they just keep calling. Wtf? I'm not having a good day, and this crap is not helping.

3. The last time I tried to tell the kid to stop calling, he didn't... he's
slow or something. I couldn't get him to stop calling here long enough to use my own freaking phone line, until I realized I could click over and use the other line. I told him to stop calling and he just kept doing it, anyway. He wouldn't hang up, and when I picked up the phone, he was still on the line! I just want to say "NO, I am not going to bring my kid over to play with you! You're obnoxious and rude and I can't freaking stand you or your Mom, you damn brat," but I'm not mean enough to do that. Ugh.

4. wow, i'd tell the mom that you need peace to do your thing at home
and the kid must stop or you'll have to block the # for good.
pretend you think it's only the kid, even though it seems he probably learned it from his mom and they both have bad phone manners.
in no uncertain terms, let her know no more hangups. they are disrupting whatever it is you're doing over there. :)
gawd, that's obnoxious. good luck!

2. Several options.

Here is an example of what the phone company can do:

I have also seen a Caller ID unit which has the capability to block the numbers you designate, and the caller will get a pre-recorded message saying you are no longer accepting their calls, though as I recall it was rather expensive. But that was a few years ago, maybe the prices have come down. You can probably find it online pretty easily.

Edit to add: You can also have the Caller ID unit just not ring your phone when that number calls, in case you don't want them to get the pre-recorded message. Not sure if the phone company does that, too.

Good luck!

5. Jeez, that's definitely Harassment! I'm sorry you're having to deal...
Ugh.

Since it sounds like a specific request to them to STOP calling is not working, I'd suggest taking it to the next level and calling your local phone company to see how they can help.

There's no reason why you should have to put up with that shit, Lara.

6. Call the phone company.
You've told the kid, you've told the mother, it's now in the range of harassment. You have the number the calls are coming from. What this kid is doing...with the mother's permission (and probably encouragement) is ILLEGAL. Your phone company will help you block it and even take action against them.
