It's up there in my mind with
Batman & Robin as a film which was like nails on a blackboard to watch and just made me angrier and angrier. I seem to be in a minority though (other posters in this thread notwithstanding) so I wouldn't take my word for anything.
That said, kudos to Miranda for getting her vision onto celluloid and (from what I gather) not having to compromise too much. Also always good to see artists of whatever stripe with blogs - she certainly had a whirlwind year. It'll be interesting to see where she goes from here.
Re film awards, I've been trying to find in my bookmarks a site I used to use a bit. It had a history of some of the bigger international festivals with links to DVDs/videos/websites/etc. Frustratingly I've either deleted it, or I'm too tired to focus properly.
(For my money I'm hoping that this year the world will discover the work of Giuseppe Andrews, although given that his latest film is premiering at Tromadance I doubt the likes of Redford will be there to cheer him on.
