My mom is home from the hospital!

I just got a call from my sister, letting me know that mom was released from the hospital today. She is still somewhat weak and tired, but definitely doing better than she was. Her cough is under control. She's on meds to keep her heart rate normal.

The biggest concern is to make sure she eats. My mom had a pik line in for a feeding tube for a long long time, but when she started being able to eat better, she told the doc she wanted it out. She had gained some weight before this latest episode, which was good. My youngest sister is making some food for mom that she will just have to pop into the microwave. My other sister is going to pick some stuff up at the store and bring it over tomorrow.

Thank you for the kindness, caring, and concern you have shown for my mom. You folks are the best.

10. My mom is not the best of patients

She worked as a CNA all her life, and she's used to being the caretakER, not the caretakEE! But she is getting better at letting people do stuff for her that she can't do herself.
