3. She was an avid rose grower all her life, and also a staunch Republican &
Nixon supporter, even long after Nixon's death. I guess she just knew people in the Republican circles in Orange County, and when they opened the Nixon library, she was involved in it somehow. She planted a lot of the rose bushes there and took care of them for a while. I have never been to it myself, though, obviously.

2. Does she believe the "missing" parts of the tape
were due to an equipment malfunction?

4. I never got to ask her any of that stuff. It was like a cold war between
her and me on anything even remotely political. We didn't even get along at all, for 20 years, until my Dad got very sick, and that sort of changed everything, we just disregarded the past and all of our differences and were both committed to taking care of him because we both loved him. Even after his death we still kept in touch a little, but we were never really close.
