5. She had no clue just *how* bad that one is.

Once when Noel was about two, we were at my (VERY conservative) in-laws, and he was playing super-heroes and shouted, "I'm gonna kick your ass!" The looks on the IL's faces were to die for. Noel didn't even know he'd cursed, so I didn't think it was that big of a deal. He never repeated a word he knew was bad.

13. My nephew was visiting us last summer along with my sister

and BIL. I can cuss like the proverbial sailor at times, though I really watch myself in public, and most especially around children.

However, I inadvertently said "Shit" one day in front of him. Yikes! He had said that word once, and gotten in trouble for it. So I clapped hand over my mouth, and then said, "Oh, no! Aunt ____ said a BAD word! You'd better make me behave!" I held out my hand and let him slap me on it. He said, "Bad word, Aunt _____! Don't say it anymore!" It was priceless! :rofl:
